Week 1 Top 10

 Week 1 Top 10 9/8 - 9/11 (Last Week)

1. Freehold Township (1) 2-0-0 - With no breaks in their schedule they opened up with a hard fought 1-0 win over division rival # 7 Midd. South.  Then showed their championship material defeating RFH 3-1 without their starting midfield. Next week they face Freehold Boro then travel to Maryland for two games.

2. TRN (3)  1-0-0 - Moved up one spot due to a Lacey lose but TRN and RBC are both right there behind Freehold.  They defeated Southern 5-1 to open up the season. This week tough matchup under the lights against #5 Brick Memorial (1-0-1) and Central Regional (0-0-1) later in the week.

3. RBC (4) 1-0-0 - Easy 4-0 win against Raritan this week. Next week they play Holmdel (2-0) who has had their number the last 2 seasons and then head down with Freehold Twp. to Maryland for the weekend.

4. Wall (5) 1-0-0 - Dominate win for Wall against St. Rose to knock them out of the top 10. They looked hungry and very fast out there.  They have SJV (1-0) and Raritan (0-1) this week. 

5. Brick Memorial (6) 1-0-1 -  Mustangs opened up with an 1-0 win over TRE and then battled #7 Midd South to a 1-1 tie. This week does not get any easier.  They have #2 TRN (1-0) on Tuesday night and Jackson Memorial (1-1) later in the week. A very tough 3 game stretch.

6. Middletown South (7) 0-1-1 -  Took #1 Freehold Twp to the limit in a 1-0 lost. Then tied #6 Brick Memorial 1-1.  Another team that starts the season off with tough games has Rumson (1-1) and SJV (1-0) during the week then Saturday Toms River South (0-0-1). 

7. Lacey (2) 0-1-0 - Lost to division rival Point Boro to open the season dropping them from the #2 spot.  They look to rebound against two more tough division matchups with Jackson Liberty (2-0) and Donovan Catholic (1-0) this week. 

8. Manalapan (9) 1-0-0 -  Opened up with a 5-1 win over Freehold Boro to start the season.  Next week they face division rivals Marlboro (0-0) and Howell (2-0) who can be a tough test, then end the week with Shore Regional on Saturday. 

9. Colts Neck (8) 1-1-0 - Opened up with a tough division loss vs SJV 1-0 then followed it with a tough win vs Trinity Hall 1-0. Colts Neck will become more dangerous once they figure out how to score more consistently.  Next week they have Matawan (0-1) and then Jackson Liberty (2-0). 

10. Point Boro (NR) 1-0-0 - On paper big upset win over divison rival #2 Lacey 2-0.  Point Boro faced their toughest competition of the season on day one and came out with a win.  With one of the weaker schedules the rest of the way, look for them to stay here.   This week they have Central Regional  (0-0-1) and Lakewood (0-1) and Pinelands (0-1)

Bubble Teams : Howell 2-0, Jackson Liberty 2-0, Jackson Memorial 1-1, SJV 1-0

 10/9 to 10/15 (Previous Rank) 1. Freehold Township (1) 13-1-0 - They are the best in the Shore and they are doing it without one of the best players in the state. Gabby Koluch does not get the accolades she deserves. She was NJ.com midseason defender of the year, she might be the midseason player of the year.  Freehold Twp. took care of Rumson 4-0, all 4 goals in the second half. Then they beat TRS 5-1 to advance to the SCT semis and face SJV on Wednesday at 630. If they win, they face winner of Howell/Point Boro Saturday in Neptune. 2. Howell (7) 11-2-1 - I said Howell would surprise people and they have but not me. They move onto the SCT semis by defeating St. Rose in the first round 3-0 and then defeated Manalapan 1-0 in the quarters. If they can beat Point Boro they will move on and most likely face Freehold Twp for the title. They played last week and even though they lost 3-0, they looked good against Freehold and had their fair share of chances. 3. Point Boro (8) 12-1-0 - Point

Preseason All Shore

Player of Year Candidates Madison DiEugenio - Senior TRN - Madison is looking to lead TRN to another deep run in the postseason. Last season she finished with 17 goals and 10 assists making her one of the best playmakers in the Shore Conference.  She can do it all on offense, making the right pass or getting free with fast footwork.   Ainsley Moy - Junior Freehold Twp - Ainsley looks to help keep Freehold as the #1 team in the Shore Conference as well as the top spot in the NJ.  Last season she finished second on the team with 18 goals and added 12 assists.  Moy is one of the top players in NJ and sometimes does not get the recognition due to the loaded midfield. I can see Moy making a statement this season and help move Freehold up the National Rankings. Abbey Olexa - Senior TRS - The West Virginia commit might be the most focused on players by opposing teams in the Shore.  She has the foot skills and power to beat a goalie anyway she wants.  She was my Freshman of the Year in 2019 fi

Week 2 Top 10

Week 2 Top 10 9/11 to 9/18 (Last Week Rankings) 1. Freehold Township (1) 4-0-0 - The Patriots defeated cross town opponent Freehold Boro (1-4)  4-0 and are currently down in Maryland where they defeated McDonough 3-0.  Today they play Archbishop Spalding  to wrap up their trip and then play division rival #5 Manalapan, division opponent Middletown North and end the week with Shore Regional (1-3). 2. RBC (3) 2-1-0 - The Caseys defeated rival Holmdel (4-1) 5-1 this week before losing their first game in Maryland to Archbishop Spalding 4-0. They wrap up the tough Maryland trip with McDonogh today and then come home to face Trinity Hall and Shore Regional (1-3). 3. Middletown South (6) 3-1-1  - Three wins this week against good competition. First they defeated RFH (1-2-1) 2-1 then beat newly ranked #7 SJV (3-1) 3-0 and ended the week beating Toms River South (2-1-1) 2-0.
